Stage 1 -- Empathize
Contextual Investigation report -- EmpathizeDate of completion: 03/12/2024
Comment from instructor:
Your work effectively highlights the importance of personalized learning and identifies relevant needs, such as tailored assistance, unbiased information, and practice/assessment for benchmarking. These needs align well with the concept of personalized education. However, the focus can be refined to a specific, actionable aspect, like "Create an tool recognition game for elderly using image recognition".
Stage 2 -- Report
Problem Identification Report -- DefineDate of completion: 11/12/2024
Comment from instructor:
Given the iPorts limited functionality, your proposed problem may be too complex to implement. A more viable option could be creating a simple game for the elderly using the iPort. Alternatively, you might want to reconsider your topic or problem now that you better understand the iPorts capabilities.

Definitely the best attempt in terms of showing off engineering mindset! Appreciate the quality of the work! With great power comes great responsibility, lets end the feedback section with this quote. :)
Feedback & Stage X:
Rubrics of final presentation G7Final remarks (excerpt):
The prototypes functionality was clearly demonstrated in a video, and it operated in real time for the most part: excellent work! The servo-driven mechanism reliably controlled the barrier. The iPorts lighting effectively indicated states such as granting access, and the display showed appropriate status messages. Consider adding sound effects to provide auditory feedback as well. (Or added but did not demonstrate / mention it well?)
